"Amiral Bragueton", Michaela D'Astuto

Avevi avuto sempre troppa paura.
Perlomeno eri stata rabbiosa. Morte per affogamento, bilioso.

Sala d’attesa, Pronto Soccorso

"The imperfect is the time of fascination: it seems to be alive, whereas it does not move;  imperfect presence, imperfect death, nor forgetfulness, nor resurrection; simply it's  the exhausting illusion of memory."
R. Barthes

The risk was to act as a sick child for life. Receiving
friends in pajamas in the big bed, snoozing. Remaining excluded. (Narcissus’s cry – And I? And I?) Because the bed, during the day, remained the place of the imaginary. If you sat at the table at least.

During the starvation, your body weakened, the tonsils liquesced, the tongue turned white,  and lost drops of milk.
You have always been too scared. And the hands of your mother like mice on the table. You ashamed.
Anyway you had been angry. Death by drowning, bilious

Waiting room, Emergency

In her marred/ spoiled deep-green loden coat and clown shoes, Nadija, skylarking, squint, asked me what was wrong, she said I ate something erroneous, no one understood, however them all caressed me, Nadija had a stomach ache but they sent her to the plaster room so I explained that Nadija was there to play
